Common Changes = Growth of sexual organs, Growth of body hair

Menstrual Cycle -

  1. Starts at age 12 usually, last 28 days each cycle
  2. Ovulation occurs ~14th day → release of egg
  3. Failure to fertilize → menstruation [breakdown of thickened uterus lining] → lasts 5-7 days
  4. After breakdown, lining starts to build up again in case of implantation

Stimulates development of uterus lining Maintains and thickens lining of uterus
Post-ovulation, it inhibits FSH and LH production in pituitary gland If fertilization doesnt happen then levels drop
