Electromagnets -

Usually made from SOFT IRON — Use electricity to create a magnet from a current-carrying wire — can choose whether magnetized or unmagnetized

Uses :

  1. MRI scanners
  2. Mag-Lev trains
  3. Speakers

Magnetic and Non-Magnetic Material -

Magnetic = Are attracted to a magnet [regardless of pole]

Non-Magnetic = Are not attracted to a magnet
